  • The Four Horsemen of the Woke Apocalypse

Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Lifespring Church, Crosby

Secularism, Paganism, Critical Theory, and Postmodernism:

How do we contend against the forces of evil and ideologies coming against us, with all the allures of false religions and the enforcement of media and statist government? Is Christianity merely expected to “grin and bear” all the onslaughts against it? Do we retreat, or do we advance?

How about our young people, the future generations? What hope is there for them in this fallen world?

Speakers: Ardel Caneday, Paul Helseth, Levi Secord, J. Aaron White

  • The Gospel and the Mind: Recovering and Shaping the Intellectual Life

Friday, October 25, 2024 8:30 a.m.-4:30p.m at Berean Baptist Church, Ely MN

Our Speaker will be Dr. Bradly Green, a long-time Professor at Covenant College in Tennessee and a Fellow at “Christ Over all.” He will be addressing The Gospel and the Mind: Recovering and Shaping the Intellectual Life.  Some of us heard him speak at the Christ Bible Church Conference last month and it edifying (to say the least).

Come and sing, fellowship, laugh, and hear from God’s word.

  • Think and Act Christianly: The Supremacy of the Creator God in a Woke World

Saturday, May 20, 2023 8:30-4:30 Lifespring Church, Crosby

How do we contend against the forces of evil and ideologies coming against us, with all the allures of false religions and the enforcement of media and statist government? Is Christianity merely expected to “grin and bear” all the onslaughts against it? Do we retreat, or do we advance?

How about our young people, the future generations? What hope is there for them in this fallen world?

The Good news is that Creator God, in and through his Son Jesus Christ, has defeated death, sin, and the devil….already! This world is one of victory and hope, about which the Scriptures give us a blueprint for how to live and operate.

During this free one-day annual Conference it is our aim to mark out and tear down the present false ideas that predominate our culture, seeking to seduce our young people into a false sense of peace and identity. But more than this, we will build up with the truth, for a confident and victorious Christian outlook for all of life.

  • Sounds Minds and Soul Care : Person-hood and problems (Mental Health) through the lens of Scripture

    Friday, October 26, 2018 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lifespring Church, Crosby, MN

We hope to address, in a culture steeped in sin-rooted confusion about Personhood and our problems, a culture given over to the language of addictions, mental health, Self-diagnosis and psychological assessments; how our forefathers in the faith handled personal problems through God’s Reveled World, in the local church; and How we are to we receive and give Gospel-help to hurting and confused people. We will not provide every answer to every question, but we will point everyone to the one who has all the answers as He graciously invites to come to him through Faith.

Speakers:  We invite seasoned pastors and ministers to speak at our conferences. These men have been around long enough to have preached and counseled from the Word both in seasons and out of seasons, and we will all benefit from their wisdom.

  • God and The Christian Mind: The Biblical way to think, discern and walk in this present world

    Saturday, April 21, 2018 1:00-9:00 p.m. Lifespring Church

How do we walk the wise path of life living in our increasingly secular and pagan culture;  with all kinds of subtle, siren voices leading us down the path of destruction. God has give us his revealed Word, which is sufficient to make us wise for salvation and all of life (Proverbs 3:16-17, II Timothy 3:15) What must we believe, and how does Scripture lead and guide us to think, live and discern?

Speakers:  Paul Helseth and Ardel Caneday are seasoned professors and churchmen who are also long-time friends and colleagues in Bible and theology Department at Northwestern University–Roseville.  Both have  taught a generation of college students in the Sufficiency of Scripture to address all the needs and dilemmas of the current culture. Many former students will testify to How God used their classes and their counsel to help set them on a God-ward trajectory for life.

  • Small Church, Big Problems: Identifying, confronting and healing from Destructive Church Conflict

    Friday, October 27, 2017 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Lifespring Church, Crosby, MN

We know that conflict is inevitable in all areas of life in a fallen world; and one doesn’t need to be a Christian to learn how important good communication, apologies, and conflict resolution is.

But there is a type of conflict which is of a different variety and a type of person who causes this, which is far more sinister and destructive.  It has been present in Biblical Times and is still present today.  We also know that our enemy, Satan, hates God’s Word and men and women who are trying to preach the gospel or revive a church. Diotrephes is one of his favorite people.

III John 1:9-10 I have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority.  So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.

The Apostle John was not the only one who dealt with Diotrephes, but in fact it seems almost axiomatic that he will be found from time to time in every church.  It seems that small, rural churches, many of them steeped in generations of one or more families dominating the church, are more susceptible to the damage caused by Diotrephes than perhaps large, urban churches

Hence the big material-producing people of our day, located in those large churches, rarely seem to address the issue from our perspective or ministry context.

We believe we will be greatly helped by hearing from four older, wiser, veteran pastors about handing wolves, division causers, and those with spirit of Diotrephes,  specifically in small and rural churches; as well as Gospel-healing from destructive conflict and division.

    Speakers:

Dr. Kevin Carr is Pastor of First Presbyterian Church (PCA), Hinkley, MN.

Pastor Paul Walker is Pastor of Elm Ave Baptist Church.

Pastor Randy Reed is Pastor of Calvary Bapsist church in Negaunee, Michigan.

Dr, Ivan Fiske is the Senior Pastor at Quamba Baptist Church, Quamba MN.
