How do we contend against the forces of evil and ideologies coming against us, with all the allures of false religions and the enforcement of media and statist government?

An appeal to pray specifically for the repentance of our Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz:

God not only declares That we are to worship him only (1^st Commandment), but that we are not to worship God as the pagans worship their gods.

Theology is always meant to change its hearers. True Doctrines of God engage all of a person. There is no such thing as hypothetical truth, it is intended to be applied to the self and others.

The rule of thumb for preaching is stated well: Preach Christ from every page and text. This is true. Let me posit that this is an incomplete principle. We must preach Christ from every text, but we must first also name and tear down the alternate, the rival spirit of the age from every text.
